Sex Pistols is currently back in full swing with a new season running in BexBoy Magazine. Animal.33 will be out in 6th February.

When I first started translating original BL, there were 3 stories I vowed to translate. This story is one of them. It became licensed last year, but my friends and I decided to scanlate it anyway, so please read this as a 'preview' of Corquis which will be available in English soon. FINALLY. This is a story I've been wanting to see released for a long time and thanks to t3rribletrio it's finally here. I can't thank them more for their hard work and dedication. <33 The series consist of 3 books, each chronicles a particular time in J's life, and each book, in my opinion, has one particularly gruesome scene. This chapter has the first one. :P But don't let that discourage you, it's a beautiful story.

Yahoo!Japan Comic has a section called "free magazines" where visitors can read manga chapters for free using their online viewer. Rutile is the latest in a line of publishers that offer this service, and it is a godsend to us yaoi fangirls. :D



There are 9 stories available right now, some from published manga (such as "Ataeru Otoko" by Okuda Nanao and "Hisho no Koi" by Akiba Touko), and others exclusive online manga (such as "Kimi to Te wo Tsunaide" which is adapted from Sakiya Haruhi's novel). The list is updated every week, and I'm particularly interested in the following titles:

8.6 - Migite ni Juu, Hidarite ni Ai by Yamamoto Kotetsuko (one of her earlier works)
8.13 - Bara to Lion by Unit Vanilla/Yamada Sakurako (newest work by Unit Vanilla!)
8.20 - Croquis by Takanaga Hinako (Good things never grow old <3)
9.3 - BxP Anx by Jyaryu Dokuro (Very, very excited about this one :DD)

Note that their online viewer only works on IE, and a special add-on is required. Once everything is properly installed, next to the picture of the manga there will be a link that says "read", just click it and a new window will open. Click the big "Read" button there it's yaoi ahoy!

I adore Aida Saki, and I adore Nakamura even more, so this novel really caught my interest, even though I generally dislike fantasy.

I'm rushing to finish some translations, so I haven't read it yet, but here the general gist (omitting names because it's fantasy and all the names are weird and hard to spell XD): The third Prince of a weak country is a politcal hostage held in a strong country. Because he looks so much like his mother = beautiful, the old king of the strong country makes him his sex slave, which the prince has to endure in order to protect his own country. One day the prince meets a gladiator who has lost his memory and he takes him in as his servant, the two grow close, but there is a secret behind this man...

There is also a drama CD for this story, played by Yasumoto x Kamiya. <3

Judging from the reviews, even though the prince is a typical "oh-my-beauty-is-my-downfall" type of uke, he personality is strong and not girly at all. Nakamura's art always reminds me of Aubrey Beardsley, and in my opinion she's the perfect choice for illustrating the tanbi fantasy genre, my only worry is that it may not complement Aida's writing style, which tends towards realism. I took a peek at the illustrations and... some pics are rather hard core and definitely NOT work safe, so be warned!! Also a special warning... there's a bit of Dragon/Human 'interaction' near the end. >:D

(illustrated by Shimizu Yuki, the perfect artist for angst-ridden stories. I enjoyed the first book, but this one sounds a lot more violent...)

(Sequel of "I can't even breath without you" illustrated by the awesomest Enjin Yamimaru, which I'm sure EVERYONE knows of, I sincerely hope this will be made into a manga as well! <3)


and OMGOMGOGM THIS!! (Sequel of "Koushounin wa Damaranai", illustrated by the goddess Nara Chiharu, now THIS BOOK I've known about since the beginning of the year and I've been WAITING FOR IT FOREVER. <333 And no, I don't just LOVE IT because the drama CD is Koyasu/Hirakawa = Yonekuni/Shiro XDDDDD)

Unfortunately, the third book's cover isn't released yet. ;_;
